Did you know that Malawi is one of the poorest and most aid-dependent countries in Africa?
Did you know it is currently suffering through one of its worst droughts and largest humanitarian emergencies in its history, ravaging one primary food source, maize, leaving millions suffering with little or nothing to eat?
According to the World Food Programme, “Hunger and malnutrition are in fact the number one risk to health worldwide — greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.”
The Face-To-Face Project is fighting this food crisis one garden at a time.
$15 = 1 Garden = Benefits 5 people
$150 = 10 Gardens = Benefits 50 people
$1,500 = 100 Gardens = Benefits 500 people
$15,000 = 1,000 Gardens = Benefits 5,000 people
F2F Victory Garden’s succeed because:
They are LOCAL - We work with local villagers and tribal chiefs teaching them how to create their own drought resistant home gardens!
They are LOW Cost - Expenses are minimal as families can use their own land around their home to create a garden!
They are LASTING – The gardens provide families with nutrition for the foreseeable future, as well as possible food surplus to sell!
