January 2020 Malawi Update

The Face-to-Face Project is pleased to announce that we are starting off 2020 with a brand new partnership with CARE International. We are bringing the Victory Garden Campaign to the Nsanje district in southern Malawi, an area that was most heavily affected by the 2019 floods and Cyclone Idai.

A 10 month Campaign is being implemented that will help 2,280 families in 9 villages create victory gardens that feed 9,120 people, based on 4 people eating from 1 garden. Families can begin having food within 3 weeks after creating their gardens, and then continue harvesting throughout the year.

The partnershipā€™s first activity kicked off on January 23rd. 9 chiefs from the Nsanje District, accompanied by CARE staff and government agricultural workers, visited our victory gardens in Phalombe.
