Meet Keo Phat — A Garden of Resilience at 81!
In Dong Rong village, Cambodia, Keo Phat is holding freshly harvested morning glory — a small crop with a big message: self-reliance, health, and dignity through food security.Keo Phat is 81 years old and a proud participant in F2F’s Victory Garden Campaign, an initiative designed to empower rural communities in Cambodia and Malawi to grow diverse, organic home gardens — at no cost.
Thanks to the support of her local Victory Garden Facilitator, Mrs. Noy Chanthy, Keo Phat is able to grow nutritious food year-round without relying on expensive chemicals, reduce her dependence on one-time harvests, and improve her quality of life.
At Face-to-Face, we believe the best way to break the cycle of poverty is to nurture self-reliance. And sometimes, that begins with something as simple — and powerful — as a garden.
