F2F’s Victory Garden Campaign is not only seeing incredible results surrounding the issue of food security, but also having a real impact on nutrition, education, gender equality, and community development. Pictured here are a group of ALL women, ALL from the Kazitenge village in Malawi, ALL with Victory Gardens. Since creating their gardens, they have ALL been able to contribute about $1.25 a week to a village savings banking group saving enough to recently start up a variety of small businesses.
These AMAZING women took ownership to create their own savings bank to collectively save some Victory Garden profits to re-invest back into their community, so they can self-fund projects such as repairing wells or helping a neighbor launch a small business. This is real change at the community level in Malawi, so proud!
